Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, let me tell you a little something. Sit back and relax, listen, and maybe dream a little.
The bed unkempt,
hair strewn,
a dream had been dreamt,
the night now swooned,
and the streetlights slept.
The dawn beckoned,
with a chill in the air,
the duvet seemed a friend,
the little toe venturing intrepid,
deemed it unfair.
those dreams so elaborate,
that'd been so real,
had all but evaporated,
the faintest recollection unclear.
Questions of the night,
enquired that'd been,
dwindled in the twilight,
unanswered,
when the sun rose,
so pristine.
For the dark is a lonely traveler,
it only stays for a night,
so dream all you can,
and question the unraveler,
before the day materializes,
the horizon breaks the first light.
